Airlines across the globe continue to expand their networks, creating new opportunities for corporate travelers and improving connectivity between major business and leisure destinations. Below is a roundup of the latest route announcements and service launches from June 2026.

Qatar Airways Returns to Philadelphia

Qatar Airways is set to resume daily flights between Doha and Philadelphia starting August 1. The service, operated by Airbus A350-900 aircraft, will feature the airline’s award-winning Qsuite business class product as well as Starlink-enabled onboard Wi-Fi. The route marks a return to Philadelphia after the airline last served the market in October 2023. With this addition, Philadelphia becomes Qatar Airways’ 14th destination in North America.

Royal Air Maroc Launches Casablanca–Los Angeles Route

Royal Air Maroc has officially commenced direct flights connecting Casablanca and Los Angeles. The new service operates three times per week, providing a direct link between Morocco and the U.S. West Coast. Los Angeles joins the airline’s growing North American network, which already includes New York JFK, Miami, Washington, D.C., Montreal, and Toronto.

Riyadh Air Accelerates Network Growth

Saudi Arabia’s newest national carrier, Riyadh Air, has announced a series of route launches following the delivery of its first three Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft. New services include: Jeddah, Saudi Arabia (from June 14), Dubai, United Arab Emirates (from June 18), Cairo, Egypt (from June 25), Madrid, Spain (from July 17), Manchester, United Kingdom (from July 23). In addition, the airline has advanced the start date of its London service, bringing the launch forward to June 10 from the previously planned July 1 schedule.

Iberia Adds Monterrey to Its Mexico Network

Iberia has introduced direct flights between Madrid and Monterrey, enhancing connectivity between Spain and one of Mexico’s leading industrial and business hubs. The route operates three times weekly using Airbus A330-200 aircraft configured with 288 seats across business and economy cabins.

El Al Introduces Tel Aviv, San Francisco Nonstop Service

Beginning October 25, El Al will launch direct flights linking Tel Aviv and San Francisco. The route will operate three times weekly and will be served by the airline’s Boeing Dreamliner fleet. The new service strengthens travel options between Israel and Northern California, a region with significant business, technology, and innovation ties.

American Airlines Expands Caribbean and South American Access

American Airlines has confirmed the launch of daily flights between Miami and Maracaibo, Venezuela, beginning on July 14. The route will be served by Embraer 175 aircraft, strengthening links between South Florida and one of Venezuela’s key commercial centers. Later in the year, on November 1, the carrier will also introduce daily nonstop service between Miami and Cap-Haïtien, Haiti. These flights will operate using Boeing 737 aircraft, further expanding American’s Caribbean network.

Cathay Pacific Plans Kazakhstan Expansion

Looking ahead to 2027, Cathay Pacific has announced plans to launch direct flights between Hong Kong and Almaty, Kazakhstan, during the first quarter of the year. The service will operate three times per week using Airbus A330-300 widebody aircraft. According to the airline, it will be the only nonstop connection between Hong Kong and Kazakhstan, creating a new gateway for travel between Central Asia and East Asia.
